Love Shack Update

It feels like we're getting no where fast with our little love shack.  Ugh..

My fridge and washing machine are currently hanging out in the living room.  So are boxes for kitchen things (because we tore out the kitchen cabinets), and bathroom things, and "I don't know what to do with this" things.  The tarp is my feeble attempt to keep the renovation dust from the kitchen off of the carpet. We've been hanging out in our bedroom...a lot.

The bad news...

I have a great distaste for the guy that my grandparents rented this house to before us.  

Hubby found a leak behind the bathtub.  He says it's been leaking for a long time. 

 My dad was under the house yesterday to check on a few beams that he thought needed to be replaced and to jack up a few that were settling.  What he found was a lot of rotten wood under the bathroom.  

The guy that lived here before us knew about the leak and didn't say a word and now we're left with rotten floors that need replacing.  Oh, and a floor that is sinking in the kitchen.

The good news..

We were already going to replace the kitchen floor so that's not going to be a big task to fix.  

I talked to my Grandma yesterday and we're getting a new bathroom! WOO!  She's taking me on Thursday to pick out a new tub :)  Goodbye purple tub!   

I'm going to wait to show you before pictures until after I have an after.  The bathroom is CRAZY messed up right now.  We're talking wood, dirt, screws, tools, and torn down wall paper EVERYWHERE!
